The demo video does not apply with an Ikea light fixture. I used a tool to cut the bracket and slip the cord through. Otherwise I love it.

The lampshades are beautiful, just like in the photos! Putting them together was not as easy as I thought, yet not complicated, and the shipping was fast. My only advice for the company would be to reduce the amount of unnecessary plastic in their packaging and not to include extra pieces. The lampshades came with a handful of metal and plastic pieces that didn't belong with the ones I ordered. I love the lampshades and how fast the order was processed. I will buy again for sure.

beautiful shade! i had planned to change the shape, but that would require me to run twine through the inside of the shade and it would have been touching the lightbulb, which i didn't feel great about. i also ended up using the bamboo skewers they provided for holding the twine to fix the shade to the light - the mounting system they provided wouldn't fit over the wall plug on my cord.
beautiful light, fast shipping. i couldn't use the shade mounting system they provided because my light fixture has a wall plug in on the other side, so i used bamboo skewers that came with the other shade i purchased from them (for modifying the shape of the oblong shades)
