Handwoven bamboo baskets in every shape

Every basket in this collection names bamboo as its material, and each one is woven by hand, so many listings point out slight differences in size, shape and color from piece to piece. The range goes from flat, wide designs that sit on a table to a deep basket with room for books or toys, along with serving sets for parties and small gift baskets bought by the pack. Sizes are given on each listing except AMARA, a set of five whose listing does not state its dimensions.

Bamboo bread baskets and fruit baskets

BUABAN and SUWANNEE are flat bamboo baskets, 35 cm (14 in) wide; BUABAN is suggested for fruit, bread and decorative objects, SUWANNEE for storage or display. Isaline is a shallow round basket 22 cm (9 in) across, also for fruit and bread. WANTANA is listed as a bamboo bread basket in two sizes: Small is 22 cm (9 in) across and 8 cm (3.5 in) high, Large 27 cm (11 in) across and 11 cm (4.5 in) high. SANGTONG, 10 cm (4 in) high and 25 cm (10 in) across, can carry fruit and vegetables in the kitchen or toiletries in the bathroom.

Bamboo storage baskets for shelves and rooms

TITAYA is the tallest storage basket here, 27 cm (11 in) high and 25 cm (10 in) in diameter, with an open weave; its listing names books, magazines and toys. CHAT SU DA stands 26 cm (10 in) high and 20 cm (8 in) wide for kitchen essentials or fruit, and KO RA CHAT measures 27 x 25 cm and 12 cm high (11 x 10 x 5 in). THA NIT is a set of three, 30 cm (12 in) across, for small household items or an open shelf. KAN YA NA is an herb picking basket that is easy to carry, and RATIMA a small vintage style basket. To compare sizes across materials, see our shelf and storage baskets.

Bamboo serving baskets for parties and catering

Three sets are made for serving. The Bamboo Serving Snack Basket set, called VI MON in its listing, holds five slim baskets, each 21 cm (8.5 in) tall and 7 cm (3 in) wide, for nuts, breadsticks, crackers or wrapped sweets. A SHI RA is a set of 12 boat shaped baskets, 14 x 9 cm (5.5 x 3.5 in), for snacks, bread or condiments at home, in cafés or in restaurants. MA NO CHA comes 24 to a pack, each 10 cm (4 in) across and 5 cm (2 in) high, for catering. AMARA is a further set of five bamboo baskets. If you like a woven look in other fibers, browse our handwoven wicker and rattan baskets.

Bamboo gift baskets and bulk orders

Four gift basket listings are sold by quantity, in packs of 25, 50 or 100, with weddings, hotels, spas and shops among the uses they name. CHALOM is round with an open weave, from 5 to 20 cm (2 to 8 in) across, and NALAVAN is round in sizes from 7.5 to 20 cm (3 to 8 in). LA NEE and YA NI DA have woven handles, with YA NI DA offered from 4 to 9 inches. CHALOM and the serving sets also appear on our wholesale baskets page. Every other basket here can also be supplied in quantity; use our wholesale inquiry form to list designs and numbers, and we will reply to confirm availability and pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

They range from CHALOM gift baskets 5 cm (2 in) across to BUABAN and SUWANNEE, both 35 cm (14 in) wide, and TITAYA stands 27 cm (11 in) high. WANTANA is offered in Small and Large, and the serving sets list the size of each basket. AMARA does not state its dimensions, so check each product page before you order.

None of the bamboo basket listings here mentions a lid. LA NEE and YA NI DA, both sold in packs, have woven handles, and LA NEE stands 28 cm (11 in) high including its handle. KAN YA NA is described as easy to carry. If you need a lid, look at the SA NA rattan box among our wicker and rattan baskets.

Three listings give care instructions. The VI MON serving set should be hand washed gently and dried thoroughly, and the AMARA listing says hand wash. The CHALOM listing says to wipe the baskets with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, keep them in a cool, dry place and not soak them in water. The other listings do not include care advice, so check the product page for the basket you choose. Because each basket is handwoven, expect small variations in color and weave between pieces.

Yes. CHALOM, NALAVAN, LA NEE and YA NI DA are already sold in packs of 25, 50 or 100, and the serving sets hold 5, 12 or 24 baskets. Larger numbers of any other basket on this page can be arranged too. List the designs, sizes and quantities on the Wholesale Inquiries page and we will reply to confirm availability and pricing.

Delivery is free on every order at the standard rate. Baskets travel from Thailand, usually within 2 to 10 business days; any import duties or taxes are the buyer's responsibility. A basket can come back within 30 days, sale pieces included. The customer covers return postage, and we keep back the original shipping cost from the refund.
