A step-by-step look into our artisan process
At THAIHOME Shop, every tassel charm begins with time, patience, and skilled hands. These small details carry a big story — one rooted in traditional techniques, natural materials, and everyday life in our workshop.
Here’s a closer look at how our handmade tassel charms are made, step by step.

We start with handloom cotton fabric, woven locally using traditional looms. This process creates a soft yet durable textile with subtle texture — no two pieces are ever exactly the same.
Our cotton is 100 percent natural, breathable, and gentle to the touch. It forms the base of every tassel charm and gives each piece its natural, understated look.
The colours you see in our tassel charms are inspired by nature.
We use natural colour processes, creating soft, earthy tones rather than harsh or synthetic shades.
This approach keeps the colours calm, timeless, and easy to style — perfect for homes, nurseries, gifts, and everyday décor.
Once the fabric is ready, each piece is cut and shaped by hand.
From the smallest ears to rounded edges and soft curves, every detail is carefully prepared before sewing begins.
This stage requires precision and experience, ensuring consistency while still embracing the beauty of handmade work.
Our artisans then hand sew each charm, shaping it gently and securely.
This slow process allows for better control, stronger seams, and a softer finish.
You’ll often see our team working side by side, chatting, sewing, and sharing the rhythm of daily craft — sometimes with a cat nearby keeping watch.
Inside each tassel charm is hand-filled kapok, a natural fiber sourced from the kapok tree.
Kapok is lightweight, breathable, and naturally soft, making it an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic fillers.
This gives the charm its gentle shape while keeping it light and easy to hang.
The tassels are made separately using natural cotton threads, carefully wrapped, tied, and trimmed by hand. Wooden beads are added for a subtle finishing touch.
Each charm is then assembled — fabric form, tassel, cord, and bead — creating the final piece you receive.
Before packing, every tassel charm is checked by hand to ensure quality, balance, and finish. Only then is it carefully packed and prepared for its journey to your home.
A Small Piece with a Big Story
Our handmade tassel charms are more than decorative accents.
They represent slow craft, natural materials, and the people who make them — one piece at a time.
From handloom cotton and natural colours to kapok filling and hand-tied tassels, every step reflects care, tradition, and intention.
Thank you for supporting handmade work and the artisans behind it 🤍

Painting your house is not just a simple refresh with the first tin of paint you happen to pick up in the store; it’s much more than that. The colors you choose are a real reflection of your persona and taste and luckily, it’s a relatively cheap way to make a big impression. Instead of sticking to what is considered ‘safe’, why not unleash the inner you and go bold, go boho.
Boho, short for Bohemian, is the ‘in’ design trend which exudes that free-spirited, eclectic look.
It draws inspiration from different cultures, styles, and eras and often mixes natural materials, bold colors and a mix of patterns and textures. Color is critical to the boho look.
So-called ‘jewel’ colours are very popular; the inspiration coming from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds and then blending old and new pieces to create a warm and cozy, warm ambience.
That said, boho means eclectic, not chaotic. Stick to the ‘rule of 3’ base colors and then choose and mix of accessories that reflect and compliment those colors. If you are thinking of giving a boho makeover to your home, then read on.
