PITCHAYA is a compact bamboo pendant light shade, handwoven in Thailand. In the photos it tapers like an upturned basket, wider at the base than at the top, with an open diamond lattice of flat bamboo strips between closely woven bands at the top and bottom rims. When lit, the bulb shows through the open diamonds and the bamboo takes on a warm honey tone.
Where to Hang It: Try a pair either side of a bed, as in the bedroom photo, or two or three at staggered heights over a wooden washstand, as styled here. It suits indoor rooms and covered outdoor spaces. The shade comes with its hanging hardware; the cord set is sold separately and the bulb is not included.
